Your Wife Can Kill You: I have a close family member who experienced a remarkable personal journey. She was a devout Christian, actively involved in the Student Christian Union throughout her academic life. After marrying as a virgin, she and her husband, a respectable gentleman working in an oil company, embarked on a life together, eventually leading him to become a pastor in their Church and rise to the position of an Area Pastor.

Over time, due to the challenges of childbirth and a sedentary lifestyle, my family member’s physical appearance changed, and trouble began to brew within their relationship.

Her husband, without resorting to physical violence, became verbally and emotionally abusive. He would unleash a barrage of hurtful words and adopt a negative attitude towards her. He made her feel worthless, constantly berating her, yet she never responded in kind. In public, they maintained the facade of a picture-perfect couple, with others aspiring to have a relationship like theirs.

They lived in a luxurious mansion in Effurun GRA, driving lavish cars, and enjoying frequent vacations around the world. Despite this external success, my family member harbored intense anger, with no healthy outlet to release it. As a Deaconess, she felt it was wrong to involve third parties, and divorce was considered a “sin.”

This man would unleash a torrent of insults, comparing her to various animals, belittling her physical appearance, claiming she had an unpleasant odor. It is important to note that she is the mother of his twin sons, both first-class graduates from Oxford. The extent of his cruelty was relentless. Throughout it all, my family member remained steadfast in her belief that God could transform her husband.

Determined to make a change, she embarked on the Keto diet craze and joined a gym. After six months of enduring hunger pangs and dedicating herself to these lifestyle changes, she shed 50 kilos. She was excited, thinking that her troubles would be over and that her husband would appreciate her new appearance, considering she did it for him.

However, her husband seemed oblivious to her transformation, and the constant nagging only intensified. It had been four years since he had touched her intimately. On a trip to Dubai, she even contemplated buying a sex toy but ultimately decided against it.

Then, one day, she returned home from work early and caught her husband having a sexual encounter with their maid in the kitchen. She maintained her composure and chose not to utter a word. He didn’t offer an apology either.

From that day on, her thinking towards her husband became bitter and vindictive.

As fate would have it, her husband was due to retire in six months, with a generous severance package worth $3 million awaiting him. The potential windfall spun through her mind, and she began to plot.

Driven by a dark and vengeful mindset, she turned to the internet, researching methods of poisoning someone.

The day her husband received his retirement benefits, he passed away peacefully in his sleep. As his next of kin, she inherited the assets. Life goes on.
