Tech billionaire Elon Musk recently took to X, the social media platform he owns, to announce the arrival of his third child with his former partner, Grimes. The couple, known for their unique baby name choices, did not disappoint this time either. Their newest addition to the family is named ‘Tau Techno Mechanicus Musk,’ affectionately known as ‘Tau.’
The inspiration behind the name ‘Tau’ is intriguing. According to an advance copy of Elon’s biography obtained by the LA Times, it’s derived from the Greek letter that represents the irrational number equal to two times pi. Elon Musk, known for his love of science and innovation, continues to express his creativity through his children’s names.
This power couple already has a 3-year-old son and a 1-year-old daughter, both of whom also have unconventional names. Their son, formerly known as ‘X Æ A-12,’ had to undergo a name change due to California law restrictions, as the original name contained characters outside the English alphabet. Their daughter goes by the name ‘Exa Dark Sideræl Musk’ but is affectionately called ‘Y.’
Elon Musk and Grimes are no strangers to pushing boundaries, both in their careers and their personal lives. Their unique baby names are just one example of how they continue to make headlines and capture the world’s attention.
