Did DJ Cuppy Really End Things With Her Fiancé?

The billionaire daughter of Femi Otedola, Florence Otedola who is professionally known as DJ cuppy is a  Nigerian disk jockey and producer who is known for her travel experiences. She is one of the most influential female DJ in the entertainment industry and she has an estimated net worth of over $1.9 million.

Recently, DJ Cuppy trended online after news came that her lover, Ryan Taylor has proposed to her. Cuppy’s love life has always been of significant interest to Nigerians due to the  economic status of her father, therefore the news sparked many online and offline controversies.

DJ Cuppy’s Love Life

Earlier in July, the daughter of billionaire business mogul,Femi Otedola, took to social media and said she could afford to move around to different places in the world. She lamented that despite how amazing her life looked, she seemed not to have gotten it  right when it came to choosing a man or having a romantic relationship.

On different occasions, she had spoken about waiting for the right person. When her younger sister, Temi Otedola got engaged, Cuppy stated that she could not wait to be in a relationship and have the same experience as her sister. 

On the 19th of November, 2022, she got engaged to Ryan Taylor who is a professional biker, YouTuber and British boxer. She also disclosed that the engagement happened two days after meeting with Ryan. She claimed that the engagement was unforeseen and that she just got to  know more about her fiancé after the proposal. Since their engagement, they have been posting lovely pictures since  then. 

Cuppy accepted her white boyfriend’s proposal at the Gumball award night in Abu Dhabi, UAE in November 2022. In the video that circulated online, DJ Cuppy appeared surprised when the 30- year old boxer proposed to her. She posted on her Instagram page ” I can officially announce that I am engaged, only 25 days ago” 

In a subsequent interview, she said she met her fiancé on November 17, 2022 at a driving rally and that she got engaged after two days of meeting with Ryan Taylor.

According to her, she fell in love with the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time and for the unexpected reason and that there are no rules when it comes to love. Few months earlier, she said her billionaire father has made it almost impossible to find a partner who will love her . Given how intense their love was, the two love birds were not afraid to share their experiences.

During the relationship, Cuppy posted her dancing video where people speculated that she was pregnant, she broke the silence by responding ” No, I just have a belly”

The couple have been steering up the internet with images and videos of each other on social media. 

The Controversial Breakup

Recently, DJ Cuppy’s fiancé made a controversial post on his Instagram page which has been interpreted by many as a sign of a breakup between the couple.  In his words, ”If it’s blocking your spiritual growth let it go.” Let it go. Have a blessed Friday, #alhamdulillah for everything.”  

However, DJ Cuppy has remained silent on this issue. Both DJ Cuppy and Taylor no longer follow each other on their social platform amidst the breakup rumors. The both of them have also not commented on the unfollowing and whether or not they are together has become a controversial topic. The move has fueled speculations that they are not together anymore.

After Cuppy reportedly stopped wearing her engagement ring and stopped showing off Taylor on her Instagram page, the development has caused controversy online.

DJ Cuppy supporters and fans, especially Nigerians, were not pleased with the abrupt separation and have continued to criticize Ryan Taylor.

Cuppy’s post on Instagram has shown that she has skaled through her failed relationship, she posted a selfie picture of herself and her mother, Nana Otedola where she declared that family comes first. She has also posted a video of herself dancing to the Abracadabra remix where she incorporated her own lyrics. Although DJ Cuppy appeared glamorous and happy in the video, internet users have interpreted it otherwise. 

DJ Cuppy took to Twitter to upload a lovely snapshot of herself glowing beautifully with a smile amidst the thoughts of her break up. While some people praised her for moving on quickly, some trolls took to the comment to mock her for faking it.
